SecureCloud is "Digital Champion 2026" - top rating from Focus Money and Deutschland Test in the "Cloud Computing" category

PRESS RELEASE

  • Top score of 100 points in the "Cloud Computing"category for data sovereignty
  • Award based on comprehensive analysis of digital performance by Focus Money and Deutschland Test
  • Clear market positioning and USP with 100% European data sovereignty without any access to third countries
  • Infrastructure, legal space and data storage exclusively in Germany
  • Expansion of the service portfolio planned for the current year

Munich, March 2026 - SecureCloud GmbH is DIGITAL CHAMPION 2026. The cloud provider from Neumarkt i.d. Oberpfalz in Bavaria achieved the best possible score of 100 points in the "Cloud Computing" category. The award is presented by ServiceValue GmbH in cooperation with Focus Money and Deutschland Test and is based on a combination of social media analysis and structured company questionnaires. Several thousand companies from a wide range of industries were evaluated in the study - including large international technology groups, leading cloud providers and global digital platforms. SecureCloud came out on top in its segment, underlining its position as a technologically capable and fully "sovereign" provider in the German cloud market.

"Since its foundation, SecureCloud has stood for a clear technical and legal architecture: our entire infrastructure is operated exclusively in Germany," says Marcus Müller, CEO and founder of SecureCloud. "All customer data remains entirely within German jurisdiction. There are no technical or legal access options for third countries. Politically motivated service blocks or extraterritorial interventions in our customers' IT operations are also structurally excluded."

SecureCloud is therefore aimed in particular at organizations with especially high regulatory requirements or sensitive data. These include financial service providers, law firms, public authorities, manufacturing companies and technology-oriented start-ups. Particularly in light of regulatory requirements such as DORA in the financial sector or the NIS2 Directive in the area of critical and important facilities, there is a growing need for cloud infrastructures that can be operated in a legally compliant manner and guarantee clear responsibilities in the European legal area.

Müller: "This award is a special confirmation for us because it is based on a broad market comparison and a professional external analysis. The fact that we, as a comparatively young company, achieved the best result with 100 points shows that our clear focus on security, transparency and reliable framework conditions is meeting with great interest in the market." Companies in highly regulated industries in particular are currently increasingly looking for alternatives to non-European cloud providers in order to protect themselves against data access by third countries, supply chain dependencies and service blocks.

Geopolitical and regulatory tailwinds: US Cloud Act, DORA, NIS2

Sebastian Deck, CMO of SecureCloud GmbH, adds: "Our customers choose us not only for geopolitical reasons, but also because they need regulatory planning security. Issues such as DORA, NIS2 or industry-specific compliance requirements demand traceable responsibilities, transparent and fair contract models and clear data residency. The fact that study partners such as Focus Money and Deutschland Test recognize this and give us the best possible rating is a great success, especially as the analysis is largely based on 'social listening'. This shows that we are also focusing on the right topics in marketing and communication."

SecureCloud has already received several awards for technical excellence, fair contract models and transparent pricing. The company consistently pursues the goal of combining maximum security with ease of use, clear scalability and transparent pricing. The demand for solutions that offer regulatory security without creating complexity or hidden costs is growing, particularly in the SME sector.

In light of the continuing market growth in the area of cloud infrastructure for regulated industries, SecureCloud is planning to significantly expand its service portfolio in the current year. New solutions for securing sensitive company data and enhancements to existing services are to be presented in the near future. With the award as Digital Champion 2026, SecureCloud underlines its claim to be one of the technologically leading and at the same time most transparent providers in the German cloud market.
